I hold a Master of Public Health degree and I have studied health and beauty for over 20 years (yeah… I started when I was just 2 years old LOL). While occasional sugar consumption in small amounts is fine, I can tell you sugar is a major culprit in our society. Excessive amounts of sugar in diets has been linked to diabetes, cognitive problems (Alzheimer’s and dementia) , high blood pressure and of course OBESITY.  The average American consumes more than 100 pounds of sugar per year, and that’s WAYYYYYYY too much! We all need to take a break every now and again and together we will do just that for five days, October 2nd thru 6th.
